Arrival by air …

… and taxi  
Arrival at airport Schwechat (outside of Vienna). Either take an "AIRPORT TAXI", which can be ordered from the taxi counters opposite the exit gate (costs between € 25,- and € 30,- to any destination, takes about 5 minutes to arrive). Do NOT take a taxi from the curb, it will cost you double! Drive directly to the University Campus in Garnisongasse 13.

… and bus  
Take the airport bus to the Hilton Air Terminal. From there, change into the U4 underground, go to Schot­ten­ring, change into the U2 underground, go to Schottentor (à map). From there you can either walk to Garnisongasse (10 min.), or take a tram (37, 38, 40, 41, 42) to Schwarzspanierstraße and walk from there (5 min.)

Arrival by train …

arriving at Südbahnhof (Italy, Poland, Hungary, etc. ), take tram line D, and go to Schottentor. (à map). From there you can either walk to Garnisongasse (10 min.), or take a tram (37, 38, 40, 41, 42) to Schwarz­spa­nier­straße and walk from there (5 min.)

arriving at Westbahnhof (Germany, Hungary, etc.), change into the U3 underground, and go to Volks­theater, change into the U2 underground, go to Schottentor (à map). From there you can either walk to Garnisongasse (10 min.), or take a tram (37, 38, 40, 41, 42) to Schwarzspanierstraße and walk from there (5 min.).

Arrival by car

Follow directions to the city centre (ZENTRUM). One way or another, you will wind up on the Ringstrasse, which is a one way. Stay on it until you are at Schottentor. Turn left into Währingerstraße, get into the leftmost lane and turn left at the second traffic light (you can’t at the first). At the next traffic light turn right into Alserstraße. Stay on Alserstraße until the second traffic light, turn right into Garnisongasse, and find somewhere to park. (Consider that all of inner Vienna is a pay zone. You will need to buy parking tickets (Parkscheine) at a tobacconist or petrol station).
