Research and teaching about the history of North America, the Caribbean, and South America has been a major field of work at the Department of History for decades. Research projects and course curricula concerning North American history - in particular the US and Canada -, transatlantic history, Latin American history - especially Brazil, Mexico and Peru -, as well as Caribbean history will be presented and coordinated by the working group "History of the Americas" (AGGA).
