L'HOMME. Europäische Zeitschrift für Feministische Geschichtswissenschaft/European Journal of Feminist History is an interface between various cultures of linguistic and academic cultures and takes various topics and regional contexts into account. The original contributions are published in German (also in translation) or English. The peer reviewed journal appears twice a year.

In addition to the contributions referring to the main theme of the issue L'HOMME features synopses of research, interviews, commentaries as well as debates and book reviews.

L'HOMME has an international editorial board.

L’HOMME. Europäische Zeitschrift für Feministische Geschichts-wissenschaft/European Journal of Feminist History, the first German-language journal devoted to the field of feminist historical studies, has been published since 1990. The issues have a main theme and carry articles that relate to these topics, and deal with women’s and gender history, covering a time span from the late Middle Ages to the recent past.

L’HOMME is an interface between various linguistic and academic cultures and takes various topics and regional contexts into account. Besides contributions in German, the journal provides articles in English or translations from other languages.

In addition to articles that relate to the focal subject, each issue contains debates on theoretical questions concerning feminism and history and offers synopses of research projects under "Aktuelles & Kommentare"/”News & Comments”. Book reviews are either thematic or consider important new releases. In "L'HOMME extra" presents contributions off topic; the category "Forum" deals with the positioning of discussions and research findings regarding women's and gender history.

Occasionally the rubrics "Im Gespräch"/ "Interview" and "Aus den Archiven"/"From the Archives" complete the journal.

All research articles published in L’HOMME have undergone a rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous experts.

The journal is accompanied by the L’HOMME Schriften (L'HOMME writings) and the L’HOMME Archiv book series.

Frequency: Two issues a year, 320-340 pages altogether.
