In her talk Erzsébet Barát (Budapest) wishs to re-think how to approach the various forms of hate-speech in Hungarian media discourses. The public discussions in the liberal-left media about hate speech, using anti-Semitic labelling serves as a precedent for thinking strategically about discrimination against other minorities, with a particular focus on homophobic stigmatization.
