Writing and Speaking Scientific English

Vorlesung Tim Skern Winter Term 2011/12:

This course will take place every Tuesday from 18.00 to 19.30 in room 3.202, Dr. Bohr-Gasse 9/3.
The first lesson will be on Tuesday, 4th October 2011. The course lasts until the end of January, when there will be an examination.
To be eligible to take the examination, you must write at least nine pieces of work during the course.

20 places are available for this course.
Please fill the form out carefully. You will be asked to write a short text to give your answer to the question "Do we rely too much on the micro-chip?"
Please make sure you make a copy of the text. You will need the text for the course if you are accepted.

Registration is closed.

I will select the students for the 20 places on the 26th September 14.00 when registration will close. The selection will be based on the text you have submitted, your background,
your subject and how far you have progressed with your studies. Students in the first two terms of undergraduate study will not be selected.

The names of students selected for the course will be given on this web-site on 27th September. The selected students will also receive a confirmatory email.

If you are not registered (inskribiert) at the University of Vienna, you must register with this University as a Mitbeleger.
If you do not, you will not receive any credits for the course, even if you pass the exam!
