Research Theme:

Evolutionary Palaeoecology and Taphonomy of Marine Invertebrates

My research interests are palaeoecology, taphonomy and actuopalaeontology of benthic invertebrates, facies analysis, shell beds and skeletal concentrations, and benthic marine anoxia

Current Projects

Diversity patterns and traces of predation in the Cenozoic fossil record of Central Europe
Diversity and ecology of coral reef associated invertebrates (mostly molluscs and brachiopods from the Red Sea)
Epifauna assemblages and suspensionfeeder bioherms (Northern Adriatic Sea)
Upper Miocene freshwater and terrestrial trace fossils in the Vienna Basin
