On 29-30 August, the Atlas of Torture team organised, together with its focal point UCJG (YMCA Togo), a two-day expert conference in Lomé on the prevention of torture, with the participation of high level representatives from the State, civil society and the international community. The main objective was to raise awareness of the problem of torture and ill-treatment in Togo and to identify a torture prevention strategy for the future.
