Public Transportations

With the tram line 71 up to the station Landstrasser Hauptstrasse / Rennweg. With the U3 to Schlachthausgasse and then with the tram line 18 up to the station Saint Marx. The journey with passenger car is not recommended, because hardly park possibilities exist (short parking zone, park notes available in the Viennese tobacconist's).

Arriving by airplane

Vienna's International Airport is located about 19 kilometres southeast of the IMP and is connected by rail, bus and a freeway.
Public transportation: New train connection! There are currently two train connections from the Airport to the City. The S7 train (Schnellbahn; which usually runs every 30 minutes at :21 and :51 minutes past the hour and takes 19 minutes to travel) and the City Air Train. The S7 stops at "St. Marx/Vienna BioCenter" which is 100m away from the IMP. The City Air Train is quicker (and more expensive; runs at :06 and :36 minutes past the hour), but it only stops downtown at "Wien Mitte" so a second connection would be required to get to the IMP (see below). This is probably the best connection only if you want to go directly downtown.
Alternatively, you can take the city shuttle bus, which runs every 20 minutes and will take you to Vienna City Air Terminal (Wien Mitte). From there, the 74A bus (direction "St. Marx") takes you to the stop "St. Marx" just opposite the IMP (see map above).
Another shuttle bus runs from the airport to Vienna's Southern Train Station (Wien Südbahnhof). From there, the Nr.18 tram (direction "Schlachthausgasse") will take you to the stop "St. Marx" right next to the IMP(see map above).

Taxis & Limousines

Taxi: If you catch a taxi from the airport to the IMP, the ride will take about 20 minutes and cost around 25 EURO.

Arriving by train

You will most probably arrive at one of Vienna's two main train stations, the Vienna Southern Train Station - "Südbahnhof" or the Vienna Western Train Station - "Westbahnhof".
From the "Südbahnhof" take tram Nr.18 (direction "Schlachthausgasse") to the station "St. Marx"; the IMP is just around the corner (see map above). The tram-ride takes about 10 minutes.
From the "Westbahnhof" take the U3 subway (direction "Simmering") to the station "Schlachthausgasse", change to tram Nr.18 to the station "St. Marx" (see map above). Total travelling time is about 30 minutes.
Alternatively, you can catch the tram Nr.18 (direction "Schlachthausgasse") from "Westbahnhof" to the station "St. Marx". Total travelling time is about 40 minutes. From the "St. Marx" station it is only a two minute walk to the IMP.
