Junior Scholar Awards

As at all CESH congresses, Junior Scholar Awards will be presented at Vienna. The prerequisite is that applicants (no older than 35 years of age; for documenting your age please add a copy of your passport) not only submit their contributions in written form, but that they present their work as a common panel to the plenum as a lecture. The Scientific Committee is responsible for awarding these prizes to young scientists.

The closing date for the submission of papers (maximum 6000 words) for the Junior Scholar Awards by email is June 9th, 2006.

Languages: Preferably English, German or French, the official congress languages. However, any other official European language is also permitted. In this case a short conclusion in one of the official congress languages should be given at the end of the paper.

Criteria for papers for the Junior Scholar Awards

1. paper must deal with sport history and meet the Congress theme,
2. paper must be based on original – and not on secondary – sources,
3. paper, or parts of it, must not have been published previously,
4. papers can be submitted in any European language,
5. paper must not exceed 6000 words and strictly obey the CESH Regulations for Authors,
6. applicant must not be older than 35 years when attending the CESH Congress,
7. applicant should be a member of CESH,
8. applicant must not have received a CESH prize before,
9. applicant must attend the Congress and present her/his paper.

- Award of the "Città di Crotone" (sponsored by the Municipality of Crotone/Italy)
