Independently of each type of sport, the human body or certain parts of it are in the limelight of interest. What role was played by 'corporeality' in the construction of model identities? How does the formation of elites work, and what is its effect on the individual, the collective and the environment?
To what extent can questions be posed about the 'cult of the body'? How were and how are physical handicaps dealt with?
