C:ADM second announcement

The conference “Cybernetics: Art, Design, Mathematics – A Meta-Disciplinary Conversation” of the American Society of Cybernetics will be held in Troy, New York, 29 July to 2 August 2010.

“We believe that this conference will be an exciting and vibrant event that will help define ways forward in all 4 fields and will encourage enrichment of all 4 through learning from and with each other – which we take to be the reason for being interdisciplinary. Our conference has as its primary aim to develop what we might think of as next questions rather than report on answers to last questions, through discussion in groups and in plenary sessions. It is a conference where the main business will be to confer, not to report. Evenings have been left free as time for performance, exhibition and ideas that appear during the conference itself.”
