Biography:
Heike Egner is Professor of Geography and Regional Research at the Alpen-Adria-Universität in Klagenfurt, Austria. Her research interests are: the interconnections between human, environment, and society; processes of spatialisation in risk research; self-organizational processes in social and natural systems; and complexity theories and their implications for a global, regional, and local scale.
