Biography:
has an MSc in agronomy and a PhD in rural sociology. Since 2004 he has been employed as Associate Professor at the Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University. In recent years, his research has been in the areas of rural entrepreneurship, organic marketing, and multifunctional farming, with special focus on the importance of networks and network building. He is strongly engaged in the methodological and philosophical development of approaches to organizing multidisciplinary research. Egon Noe has been involved in a range of Danish and European research projects. At present he is the coordinator of the transnational and cross-disciplinary project “Healthy growth: From niche to volume with integrity and trust” (HealthyGrowth), funded by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme.
