Abstract

Open peer commentary on the target article “Who Conceives of Society?” by Ernst von Glasersfeld. Excerpt: Since I agree with von Glasersfeld’s proposal I will not criticise it in my commentary; instead I shall try to augment this proposal starting with an argument von Glasersfeld borrows from Georg Simmel, viz. the importance of reciprocal effect in the course of socialisation (§40).
