The diverse biographical, social and cultural backgrounds of students and staff of the University of Vienna enrich research and teaching as well as interpersonal relationships. Diversity is a source of creativity and innovation that can provide manifold opportunities for further development, which is highly appreciated at all University levels: The University of Vienna is convinced that both the similarities and diversities of its members provide a huge potential for further development. Accordingly, the University has integrated the concept of “diversity management“ into its strategic development plan: “diversity management” as a strategy for the promotion and implementation of diversity in organisations and institutions.
