how to get there
by train:
from Westbahnhof main station: underground U6 (brown line, direction Floridsdorf) to "Alserstraße" -> trams 43 or 44 (direction "Schottentor") to "Lange Gasse" -> 5 min. walk through university campus to the English Department in "Hof 8" /
> main building: trams 43 or 44 to "Schottentor"
from Südbahnhof main station: tram D (direction "Nußdorf") to "Schottentor" -> trams 37, 38, 40, 41, or 42 to "Schwarzspanier Straße" (just one stop) -> 5 min. walk via Garnisongasse, through Hof 9 to the English Department in Hof 8 /

by air:
Vienna Airport (Schwechat) is served by all major airlines and some low-budget carriers (EasyJet, SkyEurope, AirBerlin). The best deals at the moment seem to be Austrian Airlines ("Red Ticket"), Lufthansa (via Frankfurt or Munich), AerLingus (from London Gatwick), and EasyJet (from London Luton and Gatwick).
