With 188 study programmes, the University of Vienna offers the widest range of study programmes available in Austria.

The admission period for summer semester 2013 is over. The admission period for bachelor, diploma and teacher accreditation programmes for winter semester 2013/14 is from June, 17th to September, 5th. These deadlines are not valid for applicants for master or doctoral/PhD programmes and students within a mobility programme and when applying for co-registration. In this case the end of the pre-registration and the admission period is April, 30th. Admission, renewing or changes of degree programmes have to be done personally and directly in the Admission Office.

Introductory and orientation period (STEOP)
During the first semester the STEOP courses allow you to make a realistic assessment of the study programme’s content and requirements. Only after passing all STEOP examinations, you can attend additional courses and take further examinations.

Application procedure for Psychology and Mass Media and Communication Studies
The Bachelor degree programmes Psychology and Mass Media and Communication Studies are subject to special regulations. Both study programmes have application procedures that require registration and admission.
