Information – Registration – Admission
Admission to the University of Vienna is a three step process. First, check the study programmes. Second, register online for your preferred study programme. Third, enrol in the programme in the Main Building of the University of Vienna.

New application procedures for programmes commencing in the winter semester 2013/2014 and summer semester 2014
The study programmes Pharmacy, Biology, Nutritional Sciences; and Business, Economics and Statistics commencing in the winter semester 2013/2014 as well as the bachelor’s programme Psychology and the baccalaureate programme Mass Media and Communication Science are subject to application procedures. Registration started on 15 April 2013.

Registration for additional study programmes
You may apply for admission to bachelor’s, teacher education or diploma programmes commencing in the winter semester 2013/2014 from 17 June to 5 September 2013.
Information and deadlines

Introductory and orientation period (STEOP)
During the first semester the STEOP courses allow you to make a realistic assessment of the study programme’s content and requirements. Only after passing all STEOP examinations, you can attend advanced courses.
