To underscore the importance of improving the career possibilities of woman in science a FEBS-EMBO workshop is organized in the afternoon of the 9^th of July, which analyses the current situation and reports on actions to improve the visibility of female scientist and their working conditions.

In addition, a woman’s career lunch is organized on July 11 where in a leisurely setting small groups each consisting of two female senior scientists and 8-10 participants will discuss personal career related issues.
