Get a grant

We offer a wide range of career-related grants (Interview, Project & Relocation Grants) and contact-related grants (Travel & Speakers Grants).

Our interview grants, which cover 80 per cent of the costs for traveling to Austria for a job interview, lower financial barriers to successful applications. Project grants can be given to scientists who need to travel to Austria in order to complete a project application (which will – if successful – create a new job in Austria in the field of R&D). And a relocation grant of up to 1,000 Euros can be paid to research and development professionals who move to Austria .

Travel grants, which are open to researchers and experts working abroad only, cover costs for traveling to Austria for brainpower austria meetings. There are also travel grants for all scientists living and working in North America for traveling to the Austrian Science Talks in the US . Speakers Grants cover the costs for traveling to events in Austria , where applicants plan to play an active role, e.g. as speakers, conference chairs, etc.

Establishing ties

We are organizing events in Austria to establish ties between researchers abroad and the Austrian scientific community. Representatives of the Austrian research & development scene come together with researchers and experts from North America at the Austrian Science Talks, which take place at the East Coast or the West Coast of the US on a regular basis.

Our web conference tool is available to all registered brainpower austria users. There are many ways of making use of this tool: Austrian recruiters can hold a web conference with job applicants to get to know a candidate. Researchers can find co-operation partners all over the world.
