General Information

Date and Venue
The 32nd FEBS congress 2007 will take place from July 7 - 12, 2007 at the Congress Center MessezentrumWienNeu (New Vienna fairgrounds), A-1021 Wien, Messeplatz 1. More information on important dates and deadlines can be found under Registration & Abstract submission::Dates & Deadlines.

The Biotech Company Exhibition
Many national and international biotech companies as well as service-oriented companies will present their R&D activities and offer their services for life science research in Central Europe at the FEBS 2007 congress. Publishers and Life-Sciences-orientated organisations will be present, too. Detailed information will be presented soon.

Careers & Women in Science

Can careers in science be planned? How can we address ever-relevant gender issues? How can we improve the situation for women in science?

Public Understanding for Science
Scientists need to improve communication with the public, policy makers and the media. Special attention will be given to schools, teachers, journalists and media.

Next Generation Scientists

Training and education is the fundament for any future research. Thus, in addition to the FEBS Young Scientists Forum, special emphasis will be devoted to career development.

Science Policy & Funding
Scientists will invite policy makers and funding bodies to discuss future needs in life science funding policies.

Social Programme

A social programme in and around Vienna, before or after FEBS2007, will attract accompanying guests, but also invite scientists to enjoy one of the culture capitals of the world. The highlights include the FEBS Gala Dinner Reception in the Vienna City Hall.
