Vorbemerkung: Diese Literaturliste enthält sowohl einige „Basisliteratur“ für die/den umwelthistorisch Interessierten als auch eine Reihe von Titeln, die sich für die Rezension im Rahmen der Ringvorlesung Umweltgeschichte im Wahlfachbündel Umweltgeschichte eignen. Sie ist weder vollständig noch umfaßt sie alle Themenbereiche gleichmäßig. Die Auswahl wurde vor allem danach getroffen, daß es sich um gut rezensierbare Bücher handelt, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf deutschsprachiger Literatur.
Um
einen Überblick über die Fülle der Literatur zu bekommen, sind

und der europäischen Gesellschaft für Umweltgeschichte (www.eseh.org)
ein guter Anfang. Die amerikanische Site listet auch weitere Bibliographien
auf, z.B. die allein ca. 600 Titel umfassende Bibliographie zur Umweltgeschichte
Lateinamerikas.
Die umfassendste umwelthistorische Bibliographie im Internet bietet die Forest
History Society an, wobei europäische Literatur unterrepräsentiert
