Since 1989 Lecturer and 1994 Habilitation for 'History and Philosophy of Science' at the University of Vienna;

1991 Founder and Scientific Director of the Institute Vienna Circle (Institut Wiener Kreis. Verein zur Förderung Wissenschaftlicher Weltauffassung)

1997 Permanent Member at the Center for International and Interdisciplinary Studies (Since 2000: Center for Interdisciplinary Research / Zentrum für Überfakultäre Forschung) University of Vienna

Spring 1997 Visiting Professor (DAAD) at Humboldt-University Berlin, Department of Philosophy.

History and Philosophy of Science, Analytic Philosophy / Logical Empiricism of the 19th/20th Centuries (esp. Mach, Wittgenstein, Popper, Feyerabend and the Vienna Circle), Intellectual Migration and Exile Studies (Emigration and Exile of the German Speaking Scholars), Central European and Austrian Intellectual History (Contemporary Austrian History of Science). Theory and Methodology of Contemporary History and Historiography.

Publications:
Author of 2 books (german and English, forthcoming in Spanish), editor and co-editor (with introductions) of 26 books and 3 brochures, writer of about 80 articles in 5 languages concerning philosophy, history and philosopy of science and intellectual history.

Editor and co-editor of 3 relevant book-series (one of which is in English) in the afore-mentioned fields.
