Inscribed on the bottom the bowl above the foot; since iota is mirror-symmetrical both horizontally and vertically and the first letter could be read or , the orientation and writing direction cannot be determined (upside-down application being fairly common for short graffiti from the Bergamo area). Morandi prefers pi, comparing pit in BG·30 and BG·7 (though with similar reading issues). Possibly an abbreviation of a personal name, as suggested by Morandi; pi- is certainly more likely insofar as there are numerous personal names in pi- in the corpus, but none in li- (see the word pages).
