Commentary

On pages 12-13, under the title "Lepontisch", is a short overview over some of the topics related to the inscriptions: formation and relevance of the forms in -kn- and -al-, especially referring to the inscription of the vase of Carcegna NO·18; relations with Venetic for the dative and genitive forms; treatment of *gʷ in a hypothetical derivation venia < *gʷenia.
