Commentary

Morandi's transliteration of the number as XXIII "23" (p. 615), conflicts with his figure (fig. 19.140.a, p. 621) and photograph (pl. XXI.c, p. 798) showing four vertical bars before the breaking edge, thus XXIIỊỊ[ "24" and goes probably back to Tibiletti Bruno's (1986: 100-101) first reading.
