Commentary

Revision of the alphabetic and linguistic problems and of the chronology for the inscription of Prestino CO·48. Particularly remarkable and rich in consequences is the backdating - on the bases of the alphabetic facts and archaeological evidence (De Marinis) - to at least around the beginning of the 5th century BC.
