This section should give you an overview of developments past and future – it illustrates what we have done, what our plans for the future are, and when those developments are to be expected, etc.

Note that all future dates are preliminary. We will update the schedule as our plans become more concrete.

2011 – August Presentation of project at the 8th International Symposium "Lanugages, Literature and Cultures of the Multi-Ethnic Ural-Volga Region – Current Situation and Prospects" in Yoshkar-Ola (18-20 August)
2012 – March Publication of the Mari spell checker's first version
Publication of the Russian-language reading aid
Publication of an updated version of the first part of the textbook "Оҥай марий йылме: A Comprehensive Introduction to the Mari Language"
2013 – January Assembly of reading materials will start
2013 – July The Mari Web Project Team will travel to Mari El to work on various undertakings with native Mari partners
2014 – January The three-year project Mari-English Dictionary will come to an end, the preliminary final version of the dictionary will be published online.
Final version of Software tools will be published online.
2014 – later Publication of complete textbook "Оҥай марий йылме: A Comprehensive Introduction to the Mari Language" on Internet, eventually in print
