Our Mari grammar will seek to give a comprehensive overview of the Mari language. It will be geared towards learners of the language; grammatical explanations will be accompanied by appropriate exercises.
Reading Hill Mari
Hill
hill.mari-language.com
Hill Mari, the second Mari literary language, is currently highly inaccessible to outsiders, and comparatively poorly described. We are working on a resource which will provide language learners already proficient in Meadow Mari a contrastive overview of the two literary standards, focussing on systematic differences in phonology and morphology. This resource will allow users to utilize their knowledge of Meadow Mari to access Hill Mari texts.
Hill Mari Dictionary
Hill
hill.mari-language.com
We are in the process of developing a Hill Mari-Meadow Mari-English dictionary which will be cross-integrated with our (Meadow) Mari-English dictionary. Hill Mari lexemes will be linked up with their cognates and semantic counterparts in Meadow Mari; their various facets of meaning will be translated into English; Hill Mari example sentences will be provided with both Meadow Mari and English translations.
Corpus Tools
Corpus

We intend to publish an infrastructure that will enable users to search Mari texts in non-trivial manners. For example, it will be possible to search for certain syntactic patterns. This resource will be linked with a text collection, the size of which will depend on legal constraints (copyrights).
