Overview

The MEi:CogSci Conference 2009 has the primary purpose to allow students of cognitive science to present their work to an international and interdisciplinary audience. It gives the opportunity to meet students as well as teachers from MEi:CogSci partner universities and engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue.
Furthermore invited speakers will give talks about their current research in the field of cognitive science.

Dates & Deadlines
Those are the deadlines for everyone, who wants to actively participate in the conference by presenting a poster or giving a talk:
Tuesday May 19, 2009: Registration
In order to be able to submit your abstract you need to register as an author.
Friday May 22, 2009: Submission of Abstracts
You are requested to submit an abstract (1-2 pages).
Abstracts for posters should be the length of 1 page, abstracts for talks 2 pages.
Monday May 25, 2009: Receive Abstracts for Review
The abstracts will be redistributed for the review process.
You will receive two abstracts you have to review.
Each abstract will therefore be reviewed by two peer students, as well as by one one person from the conference organizing team (or supervisor).
Monday June 1, 2009: Submission of Review 1 and Review 2
Wednesday June 10, 2009: Submission of Final Abstracts
Please edit your abstract according to your reviewers' requests and suggestions and submit it again.
Friday June 19 - Saturday June 20, 2009: MEi:CogSci Conference 2009 in Vienna

Workshops
There will be two parallel workshops on Friday, June 19th, 2009 from 9:30 - 14:30 open for MEi:CogSci students, but also other interested students. Please mention in your registration, in which you want to participate.
Workshop A:

Venue:
The MEi:CogSci Conference will be located at the Uni Campus AAKH of the University of Vienna. The two parallel tracks will be run at the "Aula" and the "Alte Kapelle" (old chapel).
The map below displays where those two conference rooms are located at the University Campus.



You can go there by tram no. 43 or 44 from "Schottentor" (U2 station) or tram no. 5 or 33 --> stop "Lange Gasse".
