  • 1979: Born in Vienna
  • 1986 – 1998: Primary and secondary school in Tribuswinkel/Baden (Lower Austria)
  • 1998 – 2006: Studies of biology at the University of Vienna with major in ecology, finished with Master’s degree.
  • February 2006: Completion of the diploma thesis at the University of Vienna „Effects of Grazing on the ant fauna of the National Park Neusiedler See – Seewinkel“. Supervisor: Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. W. Waitzbauer, Department of Conservation Biology, Vegetation and Landscape Ecology.
  • 1.3.2003 - 30.06.2005: Tutor of the course „Determination exercises of native animals“ at the University of Vienna
  • 6.11.2006: Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management: Award for the diploma thesis „Second Austrian National Park prize“
  • Since January 2008: PhD student at the Department of Population Ecology, University of Vienna. PhD thesis – Working title: “Ant communities in Europe: patterns and assembly rules”
