PPOCSplanation

Dear all,

on Friday (June 7th 2013) the STV and the tutors are going to conduct an info event on “Practical Phonetics and Oral Communication Skills 1″. Students attend this course after ILSS2 and acquire either British or American pronunciation. Since it is one of the few courses that end with an oral exam and its grade its based mostly on your pronunciation proficiency, we would like to invite you to come and have some help in your decision making process.

There is going to be a theoretical part covering the course and its language lab as well as a practical featuring a text read in American and British pronunciation so you get an idea of what you are supposed to sound like at the end of PPOCS.

If you’re currently attending ILSS2 or haven’t done PPOCS 1 yet, or you are just curious, feel free to see us (room 5, English Department, June 7th, 2 to 3 or 3 to 4 p.m. – needs to be sorted out) – no registration required.

See you,
the STV (students reps)
