Figures & Results

Field of view on a CCD frame for comparative photometry of RR Lyrae (Kosmas Gazeas).

The results of this campaign have been published: K. Kolenberg, H. Smith, K.D. Gazeas, A. Elmasli, M. Breger, E. Guggenberger, P. Van Cauteren, P. Lampens, P. Reegen, P.G. Niarchos, B. Albayrak, S.O. Spectral line profile variations of a metallic line (Fe I) in the RR Lyrae spectrum around maximum light. The figure displays the changes over the course of three consecutive hours. Observations performed with the SARG spectrograph at TNG (Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, La Palma) on July 28, 2004 by Katrien Kolenberg.

This image shows how the lightcurve changes over the Blazhko cycle for all of the observations gathered at Michigan State University. Data and figure by courtesy of Horace Smith.

In this figure all RR Lyrae data gathered by the Blazhko Project in 2004 have been gathered, and subdivided in 10 phase bins of each 10% of the Blazhko cycle. The light curve changes over the Blazhko cycle are clearly visible.
