The Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory is one of the best observation sites on earth. One can expect approximately 300 photometrical nights and often a seeing, which subceeds 1 arcsecond. There are 8 telescopes located on Cerro Tololo, the largest mirror has a diameter of 4 m (height of dome: 30 meters) and is a twin of the 4 m telescope at KPNO.The 1 m and 75 cm telecopes have been utilized by the DSN.
This site joined in the CD-24 7599 campaign of 1992 and the FG Vir 1995 campaign.
