UV/IR Duality and Matrix Models of Noncommutative Field Theory

 


Abstract:

We give an introduction to the duality-covariant noncommutative complex scalar field theories. These models lead to renormalizable noncommutative field theories. We focus in particular on some issues related to their nonperturbative renormalization by reformulating the field theory as a matrix model.
