Excited Hadrons in 2-flavor QCD

Abstract:

The chirally improved (CI) fermion action allows us to obtain results for pion masses down to 320 MeV on comparatively coarse lattices. Using differently smeared quark sources and the variational method yields excellent ground state masses for most mesons and baryons. The excited state signals weaken towards smaller quark masses.
