Scott Simpkins, Associate Professor of English at the University
of North Texas, has published or forthcoming essays on Romanticism, modern
literature, and semiotics in journals such as Semiotica, Versus:
Quaderni di studi semiotici, the European Romantic Review, Reader,
Twentieth Century Literature, Comparative Literature Studies, Style,
and the James Joyce Quarterly. He is editor of Studies in the Novel
and a section editor of The Semiotic Review of Books. He is currently
preparing a book-length study on the English Romantics' representations of
stigma.
