Jan Patocka Archiv

Inhaltliche Beschreibung:
As a part of IWM’s project The Philosophical Work of Jan Patocka: Research and Publication an archive for the works of the Czech philosopher was established in 1984. Today, the IWM Patocka Archive holds all known published and unpublished works of as well as Patocka’s correspondence and relevant secondary literature. The materials of the archive are available to all interested scholars. From the very beginning, the IWM Archive worked with the underground Patocka Archive in Prague which was established by a group of Patocka’s students publishing the philosopher’s works in a samizdat edition. After 1989, open cooperation began with the Prague Archive, which has since been associated to the Center for Theoretical Study (CTS) at the Czech Academy of Sciences.
