Schriftentausch / Exchange of Publications

The exchange of publications programme links the society’s publishing activities and scientific library since the foundation of the Zoologisch-Botanische Gesellschaft in Österreich (Austrian Zoological-Botanical Society) in 1851. While there were 53 exchange partners in 1853, today there are 433 all over the world, which collect the society’s publications and send over 1000 items per year for the society´s library. The development of the exchange programme over the last 150 years is described, completed with a list of the present-day exchange partners and visualised on two maps, in HUDLER & PUNZ (2003): Verh.Zool.-Bot.Ges.Oesterreich 140:117-133.

The list of our exchange partners, who get Verhandlungen and Abhandlungen is available upon request or click here.
