Prizes and awards
More than 130 ERC grants have already been awarded to researchers of the University of Vienna since 2007.
In October 2022, the university congratulated Anton Zeilinger on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics.
The most prestigious award for academic achievements in the Austrian research landscape was presented in June 2022: Christa Schleper from the University of Vienna has won the Wittgenstein Award 2022 (video on YouTube).
