The Institute for Multi-Level Governance and Development (WU Vienna) has announced the transnational conference „Karl Polanyi in the 21st century„ which will take place from May 1 to May 5, 2019 in Budapest and Vienna, co-organized by the International Karl Polanyi Society, hosted by the Karl Polanyi Research Center for Global Social Studies at Corvinus University in Budapest and the Institute for Multi-Level Governance and Development at WU.
The Vienna part of the conference will be opened at Radiokulturhaus, Argentinierstraße 30A, 1040 Vienna, on May 3, 2019, at 6.30 pm. with a keynote by Dani Rodrik, Harvard University, on „Karl Polanyi and Globalization´s Wrong Turn“.
At May 4 and May 5, the conference will take place at C3, Centrum für Internationale Entwicklung, Sensengasse 3, 1090 Vienna.
