Short Bio
Rainer E. Zimmermann studied physics, mathematics, philosophy, history and literature in Berlin and London. Since 1995 he has been Professor of Philosophy at the Polytechnic University of Munich. He has also been a visiting professor at the universities of Cambridge (UK), Bologna and Salzburg and the technical universities in Berlin and Vienna. Zimmermann has been working on metaphysics and philosophy of nature, including philosophy of science and its ethical implications based on concepts of spaces, networks and systems. He has published some 350 articles and 24 books.
