Mandatory/recommended use of FFP2 face masks
Mandatory use of FFP2 face masks during courses and exams and in laboratories (exception: people lecturing or making oral contributions).
Wearing a face mask at the workplace (including meetings), in public areas, at the Vienna University Library and at events is strongly recommended.
Wash your hands
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water or with alcohol hand sanitiser.
Respiratory hygiene
Cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue or the crook of your arm when coughing or sneezing.
Open the windows regularly and sanitise work areas
Open the windows regularly and use disinfectant to clean workstations or equipment that are being used by more than one person.
Avoid using the lifts
Do not use lifts, if possible, or use them alone.
In the event of a suspected COVID-19 infection
Call the hotline 1450, go home and/or stay at home. Notify the University in case of a suspected or confi rmed COVID-19 infection:
- Students can use the service desk to report a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection at studieren.univie.ac.at/en/studying-exams/studying-on-site.
- Employees report their COVID-19 infections via the service desk.
In general, adhere to the principle of staying at home when sick.
