Office of the Rectorate
Mission statement
The Office of the Rectorate is a reliable sparring partner to the Rectorate and thus contributes to further advancing the University of Vienna as one of the leading academic institutions in Europe. Its core tasks include:
- Strategic planning: planning, developing, implementing, communicating and reflecting on strategies and strategic agreements at the level of the Rectorate
- Consolidating objectives and perspectives: cross-functional coordination of needs, interests and measures
- Information management: communicating and facilitating university matters and discourses
- Analyses and impetus: monitoring and contextualising indicators, developing new performance indicators and strategic priorities
Through innovative approaches, clear communication and efficient processes, the Office of the Rectorate plays an active role in strengthening the University of Vienna as a centre of excellence and cooperation. In doing so, the Office focuses on the needs of the university community and the requirements of society in order to create sustainable public value. (10 September 2025)
