Adaptive multiwindow and multilayered Gabor expansions.

Based on the paper of F. Jaillet and B. Torresani,an iterative method to obtain multiwindow Gabor expansions via dynamical adaption of the windows to different features of a signal will be presented. The adaption is based on local time-frequency sparsity criteria, measured by entropy. The proposed method also provides a separation of a signal into multiple layers, which will be illustrated by the task of separating a signal into its tonal and transient parts resp.
