The international "Star of Plant Physiology" was Wiesner's successor Hans MOLISCH.
Initially, he was trained as a gardener like his father, later he studied at the University of Vienna. Among his teachers were Wiesner, Boltzman and Ludwig.
In 1889, he was called to Graz, in 1894, he became professor in Prag and in 1909, in Vienna, he began research into "Frost-Resistance" at the cellular level.
As a microbiologist, he was working with purple and luminescent bacteria, and has been innovative in photosynthesis research and chemotaxonomy. continue...
