Cohomological analysis of Epstein-Glasser renormalization

 


Abstract:

A cohomological analysis of the renormalization ambiguity is performed in the framework of the Epstein-Glasser scheme. We show that this ambiguity is controlled by the de Rham cohomology of the so called "ordered configuration spaces". Our analysis may lead to a purely algebraic procedure for computing the renormalization group action.
