"I am interested in whether and under what conditions people are willing to consider not only their own interests but also the interests of others in a prosocial way when dealing with global challenges. As a multidisciplinary behavioral scientist, I describe such social decision conflicts using game-theoretical models and test behavioral interventions with laboratory, online and field experiments. The research results help to understand predictors of and individual differences in prosocial behavior. Furthermore, I advise policy makers on how to promote prosociality to overcome social challenges (e.g. behavioral restrictions and vaccination readiness to reduce the threat of viral diseases)".
