"My research is dedicated to the cultural and artistic memory of this country in its international historical context; with its particular focus on Austrian literary and cultural history of the modern and contemporary period, it operates in a thematic field that is of central importance for a critical discourse on Austria's historical and cultural self-image. In teacher training, I am also responsible for teaching literary as well as general aesthetic and text-analytical skills - skills that are necessary for democratic participation in the postmodern media society, but which cannot be taken for granted."
