Concordance of Illuminated Pages of
Udalricus Campililiensis, Concordantiae caritatis
Compiled by Martin Roland
This webpage intends to inform you about the four more or less complete
manuscripts of this famous typological text, composed around 1355.
Main issues are the tabels, which show where the different typological groups are to be found in the four manuscripts (Konkordanzen/Uebersicht). The tables are structured like the manuscripts: The first part is 'de tempore', then 'de sanctis', additional groups and finally the illustrated pages dedicated to virtues
and vices. The tables are linked to illustrations of all illuminated
pages of the manuscript in Lilienfeld.
You can find information about the manuscripts (Handschriften/Uebersicht),
which are in possesion of the monastic library of Lilienfeld, the
Central Library of the Piarist Order in Hungary, the Pierpont Morgan
Library in New York and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
Fragments and other illuminated manuscripts are to be found here.
A general chapter gives you information about the Concordantiae caritatis, the work this page is dedicated to, about the author Ulrich of Lilienfeld, who lived in mid 14th century, and about typology.
