Twisted Poincare Symmetry of Noncommutative QFT

 


Abstract:

The quantum symmetry of noncommutative space-time, i.e. the twisted Poincare symmetry, will be presented, and its role as a new concept of relativistic invariance for such spaces will be emphasized. The possibility of extending the concept of twist for any symmetry of the noncommutative quantum field theory, be it internal or external, global or local, shall be explored, leading to a no-go theorem reminiscent of the Coleman-Mandula theorem.
